Presented without further comment: This Powerline item from last week on new evidence of Saddam's Al Qaeda ties caught my attention, although I haven't tracked down the followup enough to have an opinion on whether it holds up.

I saw Chalabi refer to that document on ď60 Minutes.Ē While it wouldnít surprise me in the least if it was some kind of forgery, I am surprised that I havenít heard more about it since (one way or another).

Still, certainly worthy of further investigation.

Iíve never been a big believer that al Qaeda had much more than spiritual, we-both-hate-America feelings in common, but Iím open to evidence to the contrary. (Some of which can be read at http://www.weeklystandard.com/content/public/articles/000/000/003/033jgqyi.asp).
