I can barely even think about the Mets at this juncture, let alone blog about them. Man, this is depressing.

I was at one of the games in Phoenix when they swept the D'Backs. I remember leaving the BOB so excited.

I had no way of knowing when I returned to NYC that it was the high water mark of the season.

Ugh.

Saw this in passing: looks like the St. Lucie Mets have busted through a 55-year-old minor league team strikeout record yesterday. The Mets have fired or demoted nine in the scouting department, including VP Gary LaRocque.

I thought the high point (so far) was when they came roaring back against the Phillies last week in the first game of the series - getting as
close as the ever might to the wild card lead - only to watch Pedro implode the next day
