First off, congrats on the citation.

And second, this makes a good point. The various references to the FedSoc in much recent journalism are patently silly, and I've just passed them by for the most part. But I hadn't stopped to think that it's been painted -- by left and sometimes right -- as some sort of cabal, like the Elders or the Illuminati. More accurately, I suppose, it's similar to the anti-Free Masons movement of the 19th century. But preposterous as that was, the Mason ARE, unlike the Federalists, a nominally secret organization. This one is just a combo of demogoguery and ignorance (two great tastes that go great together).
