KATRINA: There's Bad Ideas, Then There's Really Bad Ideas
And then there's Mike Brown starting a disaster preparedness firm.
Were I Karl Rove, I would send out a memo to Republicans everywhere: this firm should never, ever, ever get a government contract of any kind.
Who would ever give that guy money? Gov't contract or anyone else...
So, odds are, knowing this Admin., they will pile tons of money on this guy.
No, not really. Odds are this Admin will keep as far away as possible. Any business he sees will be corporate in origination. He'll be used in a consultant's role to meet government requirements, paperwork, red tape and the like.
I think this is a good thing. Personally, I think Brownie should be required to make his client list public on a daily basis. That way we can know which companies are in desperate trouble and/or about to go down in a blaze of glory.
