BASEBALL: Lima Time in Queens?

Please, stay in Norfolk. Please, stay in Norfolk. Please, stay in Norfolk.

And I'd somehow missed them signing Darren Oliver in December. This chart says it all about Lima and Oliver.

Crank, for your sake I hope he doesn't make it to NY. I had the "pleasure" of watching him in KC last year. Most games were painful. Yes, KC lost 100+ last year, but in very few of the games Lima pitched could you point to anything other than Lima as the culprit. My Grandfater had a phrase for most of Lima's pitches last year "lukewarm and pecker high". My 13 year old could have hit it. With top of the rotation pitchers like Lima, it is a wonder KC didn't lose 130.

Lima and Oliver can be good when they're on, but if they make it out of Norfolk, the Mets are in trouble, because it means the Mets are seriously lacking in starting pitching.

Now I'm scared! Braves 15 in a row!

Lima & Oliver? Those two stiffs are still pitching?

We'd be better off with Colonel Sanders and the Grimace. For the love of . . .

But, seriously, this is what we're effectively getting for Duaner Sanchez, what with Seo now in Dodger blue.

As Ace might say it: Sura 34, Verse 12 tells us that, "Jose Lima and Darren Oliver shall never hurl in Queens, Allah willing, unless it beith the fans who 'hurl,' while witnessething the abominations they bring upon the raised mound of the diamond of the great Shea. Omar, while sounding like a man of the sword, is no prophet. Thus sayeth the true Prophet."

I'm telling you, no good will come of this.

Maybe we heard it wrong. Maybe the Mets are bringing in the ghost of Tony LEMA to work on their golf game.

Or maybe they just want to see how the Mets uniform looks with blond hair.

But have you seen Mrs. Lima-time? I'd take her over Mrs. Benson in a heartbeat (mainly because she keeps her mouth shut).

Daryl - More like "Lima" rhymes with "FEMA".

This is no laughing matter, fellas!

We're one Pedro Baseball Classic pitch away from both those clowns in the rotation.

Glavine, Trachsel, Zambrano, Lima, & Oliver! God help us.

"Trachsel & Glavine, and that's all we're havin"?

Lima is out of the AL Central. Oh-no. That is a serious hit to the Indians offense.
