BASEBALL: Everybody Wang-McClung Tonight

I'm sorry, the pun on the pitching matchup for tonight's Yankees-Rays game was just too good to pass up.

While we're in the 80s I'll throw in something I noticed over the weekend but can't be the first one to comment on - doesn't Khalil Greene look like he should be ordering a pizza in Mr. Hand's class?

"huh huh, those guys are fags!"

Yep. Greene was christened "Spicoli" by the Pads' broadcasters pretty much the moment he arrived in SD.

Wow. The man's a double threat: Spicoli's twin AND a member of Simmons's Reggie Cleveland All-Stars.

"Yup, I can fix it! My Dad has an awesome set of TV repairman tools. I can fix it!"

Greene also looks a great deal like that elf who wanted to be a dentist in that Rudolph movie.

Herbie the Elf. He does look like him.

How do you post this without a link to a photo? Now I must spend precious seconds of my own time looking for one. (yes, I know it isn't hard but still...)
Shame on you Mr. Crank, for making me labor for a laugh.

That double-play combo is totally bogus!

A friend went to a game and yelled "Hey Spicoli! Get a hit!" when Greene came to bat. The 20-somethings around him all looked puzzled and a couple asked him "Who's Spicoli?" My friend, in his late 30's, suddenly felt old and out of touch.
