POLITICS: Fortunate in Our Adversaries

Bush's approval ratings may be low, but they're still higher than those for Kerry and Gore. Via Kaus.

Well, it is not even close on the unfavorable numbers...both Gore and Kerry had almost identical unfavorable at 38/39 (sounds like the bush faithful) with 25% undecided (which makes sense, since they don't get as much press coverage)...Bush, on the other hand, had an unfavorable number of 55%, with only 13% undecided...so they may not have a favorable view of Kerry and Gore (the Gore favorable number will be more after the release of his movie), but they don't have a large unfavorable view either...it is one big no opinion as to Gore and Kerry...

There's are interesting internals on that poll, the Gore/Kerry numbers among them. I thought it quite interesting that Bush scores well on WoT but poorly on Iraq. Pubs still strong on national defense and Dems weak. Dems much stronger on domestic issues than Pubs.

Its also very interesting how poorly the economic performance of the country is perceived when the economy has been on fire for several years now.

Polls will mean a lot more by this summer as both parties get their campaigns geared up.
