I agree with Andy, this is a much different situation from the old "here is OBL, will you take him" from the Slick Willie days.

Having to mount a military operation in a country that is barely an board with the war on terror is much different and presents a whole list of consequences.

Are you conservatives going to apply this kind of analysis in the context of Bush administration half-truths?

And, are you aware that the Times' public editor on Sunday took the newspaper to task for adopting Bush administration half-truths inflating al Qaeda's role in present-day Iraq? The Times took us to war on the basis of Judith Miller's dishonest reporting about WMD's. For the most part, the Times parrots government drivel, as all newspapers do no matter who is president.
