Who has the highest strikeout/inning ratio in baseball since the All-Star Break? Read it, and weep.
Also: in one of my fantasy leagues, I bailed out and traded Dontrelle Willis (for BJ Ryan, a deal that makes sense only if Dontrelle was out of gas) at the end of July. But Willis has a MLB-best 1.23 ERA since August 1.

It’s OK, Zambrano is only a few slots below him.
Oh, that’s Carlos, not Victor. Never mind.
I’m still mad at Mets management for trading away Kazmir, especially for an injured Zambrano. What a waste.
Are the Mets going to non-tender Zambrano? I know about sunk costs, but that would certainly rub salt in it.
I have been telling Mets fans since last year this trade was going to be a disaster for them. By the way if the Mets had held on to him, they probably could have traded him over the winter in a package to the As for either Hudson or Mulder. Where would they be right now if that had happened?
Mets fans knew it was a disaster the second it was announced.
Well, the Mets traded away last year’s Rookie of the Year in Jason Bay a couple years ago. When Crank does the Mets postmortem, he should spend more time analyzing the front office (and the ownership) than rating the performances of the the players. No wonder Beane stayed in Oakland.
