Last night’s game was sort of a microcosm of the Sox and Lester’s season. They have a hard time with front-line pitchers. Lester is generally hard to hit but in the games he lost this year it was almost always the result of one bad pitch to a good hitter at the wrong time. Dinger. Game over. Here’s hoping we get 2007 and not 2008 play-off Josh Beckett tonight.
Good thing that I didn’t bet any money on these “predictions”. Well, I could have bet the Yanks, but the reward was not worth it.
The Sox, Cards and (likely) the Rox may have been better teams according to the numbers. Lucky for the Angels, Dodgers and Phils that the games are played on the field.
