POLITICS: Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow - Yesterday's Gone, Yesterday's Gone

Via Instapundit, we have word from Tom Elia that Marty Meehan's staff went to Wikipedia to delete references to a term limits pledge Meehan made in 1992 that is now inconvenient to the Massachusetts Democrat.

Wow, a politician trying to pretend he isn't, or didn't lie.

The funny thing is I'm not a fan of term limits, as I think the ballot box is the real place for it. Would drive both democrats and republicans crazy. Reagan would have won a third term, as would Clinton.

I guess when he requests to revise and extend his remarks he isn't kidding.

Anyway, why is changing Wikipedia any different than changing the Congressional Record?

He asked, sarcastically.

I'm not really a fan of term limits either (although in the case of the Presidency I think it is probably a good thing). But if you self-impose them by making promises when running for office, you deserve to have to live with that.
