Tolerance

So much for the Democrats’ faith in the tolerance of their own primary voters:
A senior advisor to another campaign scoffs at the idea that Lieberman will appeal to the largely rural voters who go to the polls then: “Lieberman’s got endorsements in Oklahoma, but, when it comes to Oklahoma voters–.” There is a long pause. “Enough said.”

  1. The Democrats, having decided that principle is a drawback when it comes to elections, are careful these days to make sure that at no time they are actually dealing with it, or even the appearance of it.
From my perch seven miles from the Oklahoma City bombing site, I’m inclined to think that Lieberman would have a tougher time here by dint of being one of those damned Connecticut Yankees than for any Star of David-related stigma.
