You’re kidding, right? Because Kerry wants a plan for handing Iraq back to the Iraqis you draw a parrallel with the insurgents, and therefore terrorists? This makes me angry.
He’s talking about working WITH the administration and Congress. The Republican Congress. And he’s not saying let’s get out now, he said, “set the stage for American forces to BEGIN to come home.”
Tell me this, what was your pal Georgie doing when John Kerry was trying to make a difference in the world in the post-Viet Nam era? Kerry used his well earned knowledge and experience from the jungles and rivers of Viet Nam, where he fought for his men there on the ground, as well as all of us back in the States, both Democrat and Republican alike. He saw the destruction. He saw a country exploding. We can all see what happens when there is no strategy.
As far as I can tell, George spent that time snorting coke until it came out his eyes. That’s unsubstantiated, but then I also heard he liked to microwave aborted fetuses and eat them back then too. Again, unsubstantiated, but I heard it somewhere so it is well worth reporting.
Are you still afraid of John Kerry? He my have lost the election, but you should be afraid, because he is a force of power and so are the people who stand with him.

Kerry is not at all being helpful or realistic, he’s trying to score political points at the expense of the war effort. There is no reason to believe that shouting a withdrawal date from the rooftops at this stage would accomplish anything but emboldening the enemy. Which is precisely why the enemy wants it.
As I recall Saddam was the enemy, not the Iraqi people. This was certainly a mantra of those who invented this nice little war we have going on. They most assuredly view us as the enemy at this point and no doubt there are more of them then there were when this whole fiasco started. I have a strong suspicion that most of the Iraqis don’t really give a damn about whether we set a date for withdrawal or not and they don’t derive hope from it or despair from the lack of it. I would suspect they want us to leave because they want us to leave. If someone invaded this country wouldn’t you want them to leave?
