Via Instapundit, we have word from Tom Elia that Marty Meehan’s staff went to Wikipedia to delete references to a term limits pledge Meehan made in 1992 that is now inconvenient to the Massachusetts Democrat.

Wow, a politician trying to pretend he isn’t, or didn’t lie.
The funny thing is I’m not a fan of term limits, as I think the ballot box is the real place for it. Would drive both democrats and republicans crazy. Reagan would have won a third term, as would Clinton.
I guess when he requests to revise and extend his remarks he isn’t kidding.
Anyway, why is changing Wikipedia any different than changing the Congressional Record?

I’m not really a fan of term limits either (although in the case of the Presidency I think it is probably a good thing). But if you self-impose them by making promises when running for office, you deserve to have to live with that.
