[D]espite the fact that Obama promised, even immediately after inauguration, that closing GTMO would be one of his Administration’s first priorities, it is clear that Obama still does not have the foggiest idea what to do about it. He appears to be more or less committed to actually closing the physical facility in Guantanamo bay (in order to give the appearance of keeping his campaign promise), but he has realized that the thing which made GTMO most objectionable to his most dedicated supporters, i.e., indefinite detention away from communication with the outside world, is necessary to the security of this country. So what does he do now? The answer is evident: he has no clue.

Probably a two trillion dollar annual deficit when its all said and done, no idea what to do regarding Gitmo, releasing pictures, Afghanistan, unemployment higher(and still going higher) than it was suppose to be if we had done nothing, trampling all over people’s contractual and property rights, massive inflation right around the corner, and Obumbler and Dems promosing more taxes and more entitlement programs. Frigging Amateur Hour. Well on his way to being a complete total failure.
I suppose the good news is that, confronted with the fact that keeping his promises would be a bad idea, he does not intend to keep them.
Today Mr. 2 trillion dollar deficit decided to give the rest of us a lecture on…….. unsustainable debt levels……UFB.
I’d like to know just one promise he’s made that he’s kept. He sure made a lot of promises. It ought to be easy to find one.

I do like the fact that Obama has reversed course and taken the right position on some issues.
The problem is that McCain, or any Republican, would have taken all those correct positions in the first place.
