I was at one of the games in Phoenix when they swept the D’Backs. I remember leaving the BOB so excited.
I had no way of knowing when I returned to NYC that it was the high water mark of the season.
Ugh.
Saw this in passing: looks like the St. Lucie Mets have busted through a 55-year-old minor league team strikeout record yesterday. The Mets have fired or demoted nine in the scouting department, including VP Gary LaRocque.
It’s never too late to root for the Yankees. All past sins forgiven. 🙂

I thought the high point (so far) was when they came roaring back against the Phillies last week in the first game of the series – getting as
close as the ever might to the wild card lead – only to watch Pedro implode the next day
