Wow! It looks like Bush read this, or at least Miers did and brought it to the president’s attention. The unstated assumption of course is that conservatives would go along with whomever Bush nominates. Are conservatives who oppose Miers forgetting Cost’s analysis of the power of liberals to block anything in the Senate?
