If, as Jim Tracy asserted in today’s Los Angeles Times, Hee Seop Choi is “probably the hottest hitter in baseball,” then why in the world did he drop him into the sixth slot against Jose Lima? Utterly disconcerting….

Lima’s pitching real well tonight. After MacDougal gets his save wrapped up, I’m going to investigate how truly Lima has been, and how well he’s done tonight.
On a bad note, Sweeney got hurt in his second game back from oblique spasms — this time, it’s a sprained wrist and sprained elbow: ouch.
Addressing the 6-slot for Hee Seop Choi… well, that’s just puzzling. However, as a Royals fan — I didn’t mind it. 🙂
Ask me again why Willie Randolph keeps batting David Wright sixth or seventh while using Jose Reyes in the leadoff spot. Grr.
Choi definitely deserves to have a manager who just sticks him in the middle of the lineup and says “go get ’em”.
I really can’t think of any better way to cool off a hot batter than by mixing things up on him (putting him in a 6-slot)
