  1. I know the lawyer who handled maybe the only Third Amendment case ever litigated in the Federal system, decided by the Second Circuit in the early 1980’s. That decision is mentioned in the Onion story. It actually a fascinating story how the case began; it just started out like any other lawsuit and someone realized that it was a Third Amendment problem! The Court found in the plaintiffs’ favor but held the government had qualified immunity because the case was so novel.
